Piscina Cozzi opens its basement to host an installation designed by 6:AM
For the first time in nearly 40 years, the historic Piscina Cozzi in Milan opens its entire basement—the former public baths—to host an immersive installation conceived and designed by 6:AM.
This evocative space, once serving as public baths for Milanese citizens and left abandoned for decades, will be brought back to life through the lens of design.
TWO-FOLD SILENCE, 6:AM’s first solo exhibition, offers visitors an exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in the brand’s vision and creative universe, unveiling the latest collections of lighting, furniture, objects, as well as a selection of past creations and mock-ups. The installation creates a path where rationality and instinct, form and intuition, light and shadow intertwine, turning the location into an active element of the narrative.
Sound design by Invernomuto.
Uniforms supplied by Older Studio.

A location full of history and symbolism
Built between 1934 and 1935, Piscina Cozzi is an emblematic example of modernist architecture. With its imposing vaulted ceiling, which evokes the architecture of Tessenow in Berlin and the swimming pool of Isola Margherita in Budapest, Cozzi represents a synthesis of structural rigor and attention to detail. The basement were originally intended for hydrotherapy but never completed.
Worth noting at the entrance of the basement is the mosaic by 'Bellini e Figli,' still in perfect condition. Embedded in the original marble, it reflects the materials and craftsmanship that defined the building's construction.
